Physis: Special Waste Management Throughout Italy

Founded in 1999, Physis was created to provide reliable and sustainable environmental solutions for the management of special waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, across the entire country.

With over twenty years of experience, we combine technical expertise, regulatory consultancy, and an authorized treatment plant in Lavoria (Pisa), in the heart of Tuscany.

We work with industrial companies, craft businesses, public entities, and commercial operators, supporting clients in every stage: from collection to transport, recovery, and disposal, always ensuring transparency and compliance with regulations.

Physis holds UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, and UNI ISO 45001:2018 certifications, is registered with the National Register of Environmental Managers, and is fully authorized for waste transport and treatment.

In addition, it complies with EU Regulations No. 333/2011 and 715/2013 (recovery and commercialization of non-hazardous metal scrap) and is ISCC-EU certified for the sustainable and traceable management of used cooking oil (UCO).

We manage all stages of the waste cycle:

  • Collection and transport of special waste (hazardous and non-hazardous)
  • Recovery and treatment of WEEE (electrical and electronic equipment, lamps, toners, batteries)
  • Storage and treatment of used cooking oils
  • Material recovery: paper, wood, metals, plastics, fire extinguishers, cylinders, transformers
  • Environmental consultancy: support with MUD, registers, forms, authorizations

Where direct recovery is not possible, we work with a network of certified and transparent partner facilities.
